Most houseplants need to be watered ever 1-3 weeks once. 1 ke 3 minggu sekali SAHAJA. You should monitor your houseplants and water when they need it, rather than on a schedule. Frequency of watering will depend on the size and type of plant, size and type of pot, temperature, humidity and rate of growth.

Every plant will differ, depending on a number of factors, such as maturity of the plant's root system, what kind of pots that holds the plant, where the plant is placed in relation to sunlight / heat / circulating air and exactly what kind of plants it is.

Different plants have different needs.

Plants by the windows/slidding doors will obviously dry out faster than those exposed to little direct sunlight. Check to see if the soil looks dry; then put your finger into the soil about an inch (to the first joint) to see if its moist.

Pakai tangan? How?

if you feel its still wet/damp. Than don't water. If it's dry. Than yes it's time to water. You can see the colour of the medium too. On the surface may look dry, but beneath may still be damp and moist.

This is a hobby that required you to get your hands dirty. If it gross you out. Than stop here. Planting is not for you. For you to Learn and understand plants you really need to do it yourself. That's how you Learn. Through experience.

Plants should become slightly dry between watering, but don't let them wilt: that's much to dry. To dry/underwater will also kill the plants.

To water correctly, pour enough water into the pot some comes out of the drainage hole or water from bottom method. Pour water on your pot saucer, or dunk your pot in another deep bowl with water and let the water rises from below.

For beginners you don't need to deep watering your plants. Not until you understand more on climate and sun shifted phase.

Know your plant's water preferences. Again, there are 2 types of houseplants: the Dry type and the Moist type. Members of the dry type are cacti, succulents (such as Aloe Vera or Echeveria for the most famous) and several others species (Zeezee plant, Snake plant, Dumb Cane, Rubber plant, etc.). They enjoy dry soil so no need to water them as much as the others. Watering once or twice a month can be enough, depending on the temperature of the room. I repeat this advice throughout the blog because overwatering is one of the main causes for houseplants to die. The Moist type: once the soil gets dry, they like to be watered in the next days. Most tropical plants behave like this. The Dry type: they can thrive on dry soil during longer periods. They're easier to care for and perfect for beginners.
